Art fairs are an interesting part of the art business. Essentially they are giant trade fairs for art galleries. The many stands of the different galleries are sandwiched together and the focus is on gallery branding and market profile. The main galleries take artworks to showcase their stable of artists and Dibble has, in this way, had his work represented in art fairs in a range of cities including Miami, New York, Melbourne and Korea. A number of the works sold at art fairs are bought by expatriates, and many are even purchased by New Zealanders travelling over to the art fairs, who then transport the pieces back home.
