One of New Zealand’s most prolific sculptors, Dibble is also an artist who has a wonderful sense of balance and feel for form. This new series of works, which explores the sensual nature of the human figure, juxtaposes the playfully sexual with the purely formal, to create a show that is fun, funky and classic Dibble.

In the time-honoured traditions of cubism and surrealism, Dibble’s work harks back to sculptors such as Arp, Duchamp-Villon, and Picasso – with a strong peppering of Dali added for flavour ….

Dibble’s sculptural forms have a charm and vivaciousness that is immediately infectious, making these works a joy to peruse. The large bronzes, in particular, have a sassy sexuality to them that is instantly enticing. Taken from review in The Press dated November 3, 1999.
